What the mother of motivation, Louise Hay, has to say about parenting can change your life and the lives of your children forever.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
There are those who come to this planet with a passion, a purpose and the potential to bring about a great shift in humanity. Louise Hay is one of these incredible teachers and one of my wisest mentors. The mother of the self-help movement Ms. Hay's empowering work has given birth to hope and healing in millions world-wide through her books, audios, affirmation cards and her inspirational publishing company Hay House. Louise's life began like many great teachers filled with challenges and obstacles that later became the catalyst for her own healing. Visualization, self-love, and affirmations were the tools she used to heal her own life and are the strategies that later developed into her lifework.
As families navigate through the social, emotional, physical and spiritual changes within themselves and their children's lives Ms. Hay's profound wisdom can bring deep healing, strengthen relationships and allow the highest good to unfold.
At 81 years young she has joyfully embarked on a new role as the star of the movie You Can Heal Your Life. In this amazing film she shares her miraculous life story and her extraordinary wisdom on self-esteem, abundance, and the metaphysical causes behind why diseases develop. It also reveals how she applied these concepts to her own emotional, spiritual, and professional life. Joining Ms. Hay are a number of her magnificent Hay House authors, like Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richardson, and Greg Branden.
This is one of the best movies for families to watch together. As my husband and I sat watching this movie with our children the energy shifted dramatically. As our hearts and the hearts of our children opened up, our breathing slowed down, our bodies relaxed and we each remembered to love and accept ourselves and each other. A delicious sense of unity filled our home. The wisdom contained in this movie is life-changing for both parents and children over the age of 10.
Louise believes, “If you are willing to change your thinking you can change your life. There are always peaks and valleys along the journey. When there is a challenge do affirmations continuously out loud and as often as possible. If you cannot do them out loud then silently say them to yourself.”
When your family is facing challenges that are traumatic or involve deep loss. Hay believes, “You have to work through the grief and trauma, love yourself and each other through it, keep affirming out of this only good will come.
Her wisdom continued as she shared, “Mirror work is so important to teach children. When your children are upset have them look in the mirror and say to themselves, It's ok, I love you. Remember everything is a passing experience. The challenging event will pass; the fact that you love and support yourself is what is most important. For parents and children it is essential to remember we are all doing the best we can.”
Her joy and presence in the moment is evident when she shares. “Life comes through in the most miraculously ways when you allow it to.” She believes, “The keys to a great life are to wake up laughing, be very grateful for everything, and love who you are.”
Louise Hay is truly a beacon of light. Her presence and her vision provide a powerful foundation to bring healing and hope to every aspect of your life and the lives of your children. The work that she has brought forth is a way shower of hope for families to work through challenges, come together in love and enjoy the fullness of life.
